MARKET STRUCTURE

The Poulsbo Farmers Market is an open air market that takes place in the parking lot of the Gateway Fellowship Church.  The market runs every Saturday from 9:00am until 2:00pm – rain or shine – from April through December.  The market showcases locally produced foodstuffs and artisan items.  There is a live music stage with performances taking place from April through October.  The market keeps local dollars in Kitsap County and helps sustain local farms and businesses.  Your dollars make a difference and are greatly appreciated.

Chris S.
Market Manager

"I have always made attending farmers markets a priority regardless of where I was living or even visiting while on vacation. The variety and quality of the offerings always amazes blows me away. A trip to the farmers market oftentimes feels more like a trip to the toy store than a traditional shopping experience.

Having the opportunity to be involved with the market in the market manager capacity was a dream come true. I love the community, the vendors, the customers and the ability to help promote and support local businesses."

Board Secretary

"Some of my favorite childhood memories were running around the Farmer’s Markets where my dad, an artist, vended. I noticed everything, there was so much more to each and every product when you met who grew it or made it. I loved the relationships between vendor and customer and always felt at home there.
I’ve been a customer of the Poulsbo market for several years and saw the chance to be on the board as a way to support both the vendor’s efforts and the community at large. Farmer’s Markets represent a piece of everything I hold dear: nature, nourishment, creativity, community, and relationships. I am proud to participate in any way I can."
Christina lives in Tracyton with her family, garden, chickens, and herbs.

"I grew up on a large dry-land grain farm in North Central Montana. Since then, I have

made many moves—to the PNW, New England, Northern California, the Washington coast, and now back to Puget Sound. I’ve come to know each place through an exciting (and delicious) exploration of its own agricultural economy.

After a 2017 move to Poulsbo with my family, I started Oxalis Kitchen at the Poulsbo Farmers Market, and I have been consistently inspired and encouraged by its community of vendors and supporters. I’m grateful for the opportunity to return in 2019 and excited to support the market by serving on its board."
